Colombia
Colombia is a country characterized not only by its natural diversity, but also by its natural resources, geography, multiculturalism and multiraciality. With an estimated 50 million people in 2020, Colombia is the third-most populous country in Latin America. More than 99.2% of Colombians speak Spanish. A smaller percentage of the population speaks 65 Amerindian languages, two Creole languages, the Romani language, Colombian Sign Languageand and English has official status in the archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina.
The geography of Colombia is characterized by its six main natural regions that present their own unique characteristics, from the Andes mountain range region shared with Ecuador and Venezuela; the Pacific Coastal region shared with Panama and Ecuador; the Caribbean coastal region shared with Venezuela and Panama; the Llanos (plains) shared with Venezuela; the Amazon Rainforest region shared with Venezuela, Brazil, Peru and Ecuador; to the insular area, comprising islands in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. It shares its maritime limits with Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Jamaica, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.

THE ASSOCIATION OF BIOLOGISTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ATLANTIC (ABIUDEA) based in the municipality of Barranquilla – Atlántico and branches in the municipality of Santa Marta – Magdalena and Riohacha – La Guajira, is an organization that works in the areas of rural development, disaster prevention and access to water with the mission to work for the protection of the environment, biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of natural resources in order to improve the quality of life today and for future generations.
Association Salto Ángel is the first organization in the department of La Guajira integrated by immigrants, refugees and returnees from Venezuela, is an association that promotes projects and services framed in the emergency phases with the management of early warning mechanisms, rapid assessment and the development of operations; in stabilization with the improvement of capacities for resilience, overcoming migratory mourning, managing discrimination and stigmatization, legal guidance on regularization mechanisms and access to rights; and finally support for the recovery of some livelihood through job training, financial inclusion and advocacy with employers.
Benposta Nación de Muchachos Colombia, Lowlands Regional: With actions in Guavire, Meta, is a non-profit social benefit organization dedicated to work for the dignity of infancy, childhood and adolescence from and with the communities in areas of prevention, protection and participation as subjects of rights supporting their survival, education in emergencies, culture for life, humanitarian aid, in situations of risk, crisis, emergencies or disasters.
The Corporación Agencia Afrocolombiana “Hileros” Its actions are developed in Valle del Cauca, San Andrés de Tumaco, Magdalena Medio, Valle de Aburrá, Department of Bolívar, Riohacha Buenaventura, Norte del Cauca. It is constituted as a mechanism for the promotion, management and administration of technical and financial cooperation, national and intentional for the strengthening of the organizational, political, social, economic and cultural capacities of the Process of Black Communities (PCN), in the development of the work of recognition and enforceability of the integral human rights of black communities in Colombia and Latin America.
With headquarters in Bogota and actions throughout the national territory, National Secretariat of Social Pastoral Caritas Colombiana SNPS-CC is a non-profit ecclesial organism, dependent on the Episcopal Conference of Colombia (CEC) that seeks truth, reconciliation, justice and charity in the basic relationships and structures of our society. Its actions and work are enlightened by the Gospel and the doctrine of the Catholic Church. Thus consolidating an efficient and just work in favor of different communities of the Ecclesiastical Jurisdictions throughout the national territory.
