DG ECHO’s case study compilation released: featuring ToGETHER
Insights and best practices illustrating DG ECHO’s guidance note
A year following the release of the DG ECHO’s guidance note on equitable partnerships, a collection of case studies showcasing best practices has been unveiled, including ToGETHER. These case studies, prepared by national and international organizations, offer invaluable insights into the efforts to advance locally led humanitarian action through equitable partnerships.
At the heart of DG ECHO’s commitment to realising the objectives and vision of the Grand Bargain, lies the imperative to empower local and national organisations, allowing them to assume a central role in humanitarian efforts. The guidance note, published in March 2023, was the culmination of extensive consultations with local, national, and international entities including the ToGETHER partners. It sets out clear directives and principles to foster genuine equal partnerships, more flexible funding opportunities, risk-sharing mechanisms, and robust community engagement strategies.
The release of the case studies, based on projects funded by various donors, represents a tangible manifestation of the progress made and provides invaluable insights and inspiration for organizations striving to uphold the principles of equitable partnerships.
